Peer Review Process of The Quarterly of Chinese Physical Education

一、本刊設有發行人一人，由本會理事長擔任；總編輯一人，由本會理事長委聘，任期二年，負責統籌審查程序、召開編輯會議及掌握本刊走向等事宜。編輯委員會之組成由總編輯延聘國內、外學者擔任，任期二年；並設領域編輯7人，任期二年，協助專門學術領域稿件審查工作；編輯秘書一人，負責收件、發稿、催稿及聯絡承印廠商等相關事宜。本會內部人員占編輯委員比例須少於1/3。

二、投稿本刊之稿件由編輯秘書登錄，並初步檢查是否符合本刊稿約之要求，如不符合要求者，將即時退回，請其修改後再投。本刊採隨到隨審方式，從收稿、審查、作者答辯、再審到接受刊登約4~6個月。

三、領域編輯依其研究內容推薦3至4位審查委員，經兩位審查委員同意後送稿審查，稿件審查以14天內完成為原則。

四、本刊審查方式全面採用雙審制，審查委員與投稿者雙向匿名方式進行。

五、稿件經審查未達本刊要求水準者將予退稿。若內容為修正後再審者，將由編輯秘書通知投稿者依據審查意見於14天內完成修改，並將修正稿及答辯書一併上傳至本刊投審系統再審。若超過14天期限未回應者，將視同為放棄審查。

六、審查意見與結果將以系統寄信方式通知作者，審查結果有三種可能：

（一）「不推薦」

審查委員意見為「不推薦」，則交由領域編輯評判，最後由總編輯確認之。

（二）「修改後推薦」

若審查委員意見為「修改後推薦」，經由作者修改後交由領域編輯評判，由總編輯確認後送編輯委員會討論。

（三）「修改後再審」

審查委員意見為「修改後再審」，須由作者依審查意見做修改，直到審查意見為「修改後推薦」或「不推薦」。

七、本刊編輯委員為稿件作者之一者，則由總編輯或發行人依迴避原則指定相關之審查委員審查。

八、本刊每年分別於3、6、9、12月出刊，稿件刊登順序與期數依編輯委員會議決議辦理。

Peer Review Process of The Quarterly of Chinese Physical Education

Amended by the Editorial Board Meeting on November 11, 2016

1.      Immediately after submission, the journal’s editorial secretary will perform an initial check of the manuscript. The manuscript will be returned unless it meets the requirements of the manuscript submission guidelines. The submitted manuscript is immediately processed for peer review. It takes about 4 to 6 months from receiving, for the peer review process, revision by the authors, and retrial, to final acceptance for publication.

2.      A field editor will be notified of the submission and be invited to check the manuscript and to recommend 2-3 reviewers in the related field. The peer review process shall be completed within 14 days. If necessary, another reviewer will be assigned by the field editor, in order to speed up the review process.

3.      This journal uses double-blind review between reviewers and authors.

4.      According to the reviewers’ comments, including suggestions for that manuscript’s revision, the authors will receive a notice and review comments by the editorial secretary. The authors must then resubmit the revised manuscript and response letter for re-review.

5.      Those who do not respond to their returned manuscript and reviewers’ comments, or return their revised manuscript within 14 days, will be deemed to have withdrawn the manuscript from the review process.

6.      Those manuscripts that do not meet the quality requirements will be rejected.

The review comments and results will be notified to the authors by automated mailing services. There are three possible review results:

(1)  Not Recommended

The reviewers´ comments are “Not recommended.” This decision will be evaluated by the field editor, and the final decision made by the Editor in Chief.

(2)  Recommended after Minor Revisions

The reviewers´ comments are “Recommended after Minor Revisions.” The manuscript will be revised by the authors and evaluated by the field editor, then checked by the Editor in Chief, and final determination will be decided at a discussion at the editorial board meeting.

(3)  Reconsidered after major revisions

The reviewers´ comments are “Reconsidered after major revisions.” The manuscript must be revised according to reviewers’ comments and resubmitted for further review by the author(s), until the reviewers’ comments are determined as either “Not recommended” or “Recommended after Minor Revisions.”

7.      If the editorial committee includes one of the authors of the submitted manuscript, the Editor-in-Chief or the publisher will designate another relevant reviewer to process the peer review, for avoiding any conflict of interest.

8.      The Quarterly of Chinese Physical Education is published in March, June, September and December of each year. The order and number of issues to be published shall be the decision of the editorial committee.

9.      After a Manuscript copyright release form has been submitted to The Quarterly of Chinese Physical Education, the paper copy will be published and a digital copy will be accessible in e-database of hyread, TBMC, lawdata, Airiti, AsiaWorld, and National library, at the same time.
